Markham Stouffville Hospital receives funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services in order to administer the York Region Preschool Speech and Language Program, the Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program and the Tri-Regional Blind-Low Vision Program. Together, these programs make up the MSH Child Development Programs. Although the programs are discrete, members from each program often work together with the children and families to create a more coordinated team approach. Early detection and early intervention are key elements of all three programs. To make referrals easy, a single point of access has been established for the Child Development Programs. |
